What we collect

When you join the newsletter

When you contact us

When you visit the website

We do not collect sensitive information, and we do not ask for payment details on this website.

How we use it, and our legal bases

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are used in California law. We do not use it for targeted advertising or profiling.

We use a small number of service providers who process information on our behalf and only as we instruct:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

Links on this site to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and Instagram take you to those services. Their own privacy policies apply when you use them.

International transfers

We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. When personal data from the EEA or UK is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by our providers, such as the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK extension) or Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Your rights

Everyone

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what personal information we have about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

EEA and UK residents

Under the GDPR and UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct and delete your personal data; to restrict or object to our processing; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (this doesn't affect processing that already happened). You can also complain to your local data protection authority, though we'd appreciate the chance to help first.

U.S. state residents

Depending on your state (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and others with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to access and get a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale, targeted advertising or profiling. We do none of those last three. You may use an authorized agent, and you can appeal if we decline a request by replying to our decision.

How to make a request

Email worthyourwhilepod@gmail.com with your request. We may need to confirm your identity, usually by checking that you control the email address involved. We aim to respond within 30 days and always within the time the law requires.

Children

This website and newsletter are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them (or from children under 16 in the EEA and UK). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we'll let newsletter subscribers know.
