Accessibility
Worth Your While is for everyone. We want this website to be easy to use for people with disabilities, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard most often used to measure website accessibility in the United States and internationally.
What we've done
- Text and buttons meet WCAG contrast ratios of at least 4.5 to 1.
- Every photo has a text description for screen readers.
- The whole site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link.
- Pages use clear headings, landmarks and labeled form fields, and links that open a new tab say so.
- Pages reflow on phones and stay usable when zoomed to 200% or more.
- Nothing on the site flashes, autoplays or moves on its own.
Podcast episodes
Episodes are audio and video. Captions are available on YouTube. If you need a transcript of an episode, email us and we'll send one.
Known limitations
Some links take you to other services, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, Instagram and our newsletter provider, Kit. Their accessibility is managed by those companies. If something there gets in your way, let us know and we'll help you get the information another way.
Feedback and help
If you run into a barrier on this site, or need any content in a different format, please email us. Tell us the page and what happened, and we'll do our best to fix it or provide the content another way, usually within five business days.
